“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.” – Henry Miller

Hello and welcome to my blog. I am a Los Angeles based sustainability professional and freelance journalist with a rather incurable passion for travel. As I venture throughout California, and often beyond, I explore places and destinations with the goal of expanding my knowledge, ‘doing some good’, having some fun, and ultimately, inspiring others to do the same.

I am originally from Europe and have been living in California for over a decade now, and although I’ve traveled to many destinations during this time, the beauty and diversity of the local natural environment never cease to amaze me. I am confident, the same can be said about any place on Earth.

As I continue to travel and learn, however, I am becoming more aware of many social and environmental issues that permeate our world today. Many of them are quite alarming. I, thus, decided to combine my passion for travel and love for nature with my educational background and I created this blog to share my adventures and discoveries, along with continuously evolving knowledge and awareness.

My goal is to explore and promote some of the popular and less known travel destinations that deserve not only to be visited and admired, but also protected. In doing so, I will make sure to pay the tribute to people and organizations that contribute to that – to those who try to tackle some of today’s social and environmental challenges. And last but not least, I will pay special attention to wildlife, which, needless to say, is having a really hard time coping with and surviving human activities.

This brings me to the ultimate goal I would like to accomplish here – to share my knowledge and experiences and hopefully bring about change in how at least some people see the world. Because living and traveling ethically and responsibly is so much more gratifying.

I look forward to sharing my stories and I would kindly appreciate your feedback and comments.
